A solidarity-based, scientific, and committed event against digestive, gynecological, and urological cancers

Born from the UROPACA scientific congress, a national oncology event held annually in Toulon, the Sport & Cancer Day is based on a simple conviction: the fight against cancer is not limited to consultations or operating rooms. It is also built on prevention, information, physical activity, psychological support, and human connection.

This day brings together healthcare professionals, caregivers, patient associations, local authorities, partners, and the general public around a common goal: to raise awareness about cancers (dermatological, gynecological, digestive, urological, etc.), promote early detection, and convey a message of hope based on medical advances and collective commitment.

Three pillars structure the event: sport, culture, and knowledge. Sport illustrates its role in prevention and improving the quality of life for patients; conferences and workshops provide scientific information accessible to all; Culture, through musical and theatrical performances, offers emotion, humor, and optimism, because laughter and sharing are also part of the healthcare journey.

The major new feature of this year's event is the "Foulée de l'Espoir" (Run of Hope), a charity run open to everyone. All funds raised and proceeds from the race will be donated in full to patient support associations and clinical cancer research initiatives. The Run aims to mobilize the community, raise awareness of the role of physical activity in prevention, and provide concrete support for care and research.

Another new feature is the Koh-Lanta Health Trail: a fun and friendly event where teams representing different healthcare facilities will take on physical and playful challenges. More than a competition, this trail symbolizes cooperation, complementary skills, and solidarity—essential values in patient care.

This day promotes sharing between healthcare professionals (medical and paramedical) and the public, setting aside the white coat to foster closer relationships and participation. Through sport, culture, and knowledge, everyone can become an active participant in prevention and contribute to the fight against cancer in an atmosphere of trust, conviviality, and hope.
