2026 Editorial

Actualités

Dear Partners, Dear Friends, Dear Colleagues,

On December 3rd and 4th, we will have the pleasure of meeting in Saint-Raphaël for the 13th edition of our UroPACA Meetings. The twelfth meeting was an extraordinary adventure.

Born from an almost private gathering of friends passionate about urological oncology, these days have gradually grown to include the entire urology community, first at the departmental level, then regionally, and now nationally.

Over the years, the scientific appeal of our event has also expanded to include our colleagues in radiation oncology and medical oncology. The integration of interactive formats, particularly through live multidisciplinary team meetings (MDTs), has facilitated constructive exchanges, a sharing of expertise, and a clarification of strategies in the face of the rapidly evolving data in oncology.

Following the 10th edition, and driven by the strong participation of our specialist colleagues, we rebranded the OncoUrovar congress as the URO PACA Meetings. Despite some initial reservations, this new name quickly gained acceptance and resonated with the community, strengthening our local roots while consolidating our scientific influence.

Beyond academic visibility, the UroPACA Meetings aim to be a valuable continuing education resource.
They are designed for urologists, oncologists, and radiation oncologists, of course, but also for nurses and general practitioners, in order to fully integrate all stakeholders into the patient's oncology care pathway.
Our objective is clear: to promote a coordinated, comprehensive, and pragmatic approach.

Why Saint-Raphaël this year?
This is a logistical adjustment due to scheduling constraints at the Palais Neptune in Toulon and the congress's December date.
This choice reflects a commitment to adaptation and continuity. After all these years of development, I have set myself a specific objective for this 13th edition: to offer a clear, structured, and critical synthesis of the major oncological data from the past year.

The UroPACA Meetings aim to become a key event for presenting and analyzing the main national and international congresses (ASCO GU, ASCO, ESMO, AUA EAU), building on the work presented at the French Association of Urology congress (particularly the JOUM), and also including other major regional events such as the Marseilles Days and Focus.

Our ambition is simple: to offer our colleagues a consolidated, practical, and directly applicable overview of scientific advances, in order to further improve the quality of care for our patients.

We thank you warmly for your commitment and loyalty. It is thanks to you that these meetings continue to grow and unite.

With all my scientific friendship,

Dear friends,

It is with ever-renewed pleasure and a certain eagerness, that we invite you to the next edition of the UroPACA Meetings. This year, a small change is in order: after successful editions in Toulon, our congress is making a stop in a new home port, the Palais des Congrès in Saint-Raphaël. Rest assured: the venue is changing, but the spirit remains the same.

For over a decade now, the UroPACA Meetings have been built thanks to you. Your loyalty, your enthusiasm, and your desire to exchange ideas freely make this congress a unique event in the onco-urology landscape. A congress where people come, of course, for the science… but also for the frank discussions, the lively debates, and the convivial atmosphere that is our hallmark.

We will therefore continue to cultivate what constitutes the DNA of the UroPACA Meetings: renowned experts, scientific news, sometimes challenging clinical situations, and above all, plenty of discussion. For it is often in these simple, sometimes passionate, exchanges that the best ideas are born and our practices progress.

The new venue offers us an additional perk. You dreamed of it, we made it happen: we will be even closer to the sea. This will hopefully foster scientific inspiration... As for conviviality, rest assured: it remains a core value of the UroPACA Meetings. We look forward to seeing you in Saint-Raphaël for two days where science, discussion, and conviviality will come together—the very spirit of the UroPACA Meetings.

Sincerely,
